Frequently Asked Questions
I have or think I might have a qualifying condition, where can I go for more information or support?
- Please visit SAS' Where to Start page, which highlights resources that can provide you with immediate support, guidance about disability screenings and testing, a description of the SAS registration process, and more. If you have additional questions or would like to set up an SAS inquiry meeting, email SAS or call 603-646-9900.
I am a wounded warrior, where can I go for information or support on campus?

I have a support or service animal, how do I make sure I can have the animal on campus?
- Please review Dartmouth's Assistance Animal Policy.
- To request a support animal in campus housing, follow the steps outlined by SAS' Emotional Support Animals in Campus Housing page.
- If you have a service animal, you are not required to register with SAS. However, most students find it helpful to do so, and you'll need to do so if seeking any academic accommodations.
- If you will be living in campus housing, you are encouraged to email residential.life@dartmouth.edu to provide them notice that you are bringing your service animal so that any allergic students can be relocated if needed.
- Please email SAS or call 603-646-9900 with any questions.
What happens with my military/VA records when they are sent to SAS at Dartmouth?
- Student Accessibility Services records are kept confidential within the parameters of campus policy.
- If you have remaining concerns, please schedule an SAS inquiry meeting by emailing student.accessibility.services@dartmouth.edu or call 603-646-9900.
I am realizing it takes me longer than others to finish my papers and exams. What should I do?
