Justin is originally from Long Island, NY, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University. He subsequently moved to Boston and then Charlottesville for master’s- and doctoral-level work in Music History. He spent over a decade at the University of Virginia, first as a PhD student and later as a faculty member in the Music department, followed by administrative positions in Academic Advising and Student Success Initiatives. He arrived at Dartmouth by way of Rice University, where he served as Assistant Director of Academic Advising. He is excited to be here and eager to help provide a foundation from which students can explore, engage, and excel during their time at Dartmouth and beyond!

In his free time, he enjoys all manner of theatre (musicals, opera, spoken—especially Shakespeare), watching and reading copious amounts of science fiction, keeping current with new and recurring anime series, and exploring the local coffee scene.
